What is Heel Pain?
Heel pain, medically termed plantar fasciitis, is a common foot condition characterized by discomfort and inflammation in the heel area. It typically occurs due to strain or injury to the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that supports the arch of the foot. The most common symptom is a sharp pain in the bottom of the heel, particularly noticeable when taking the first steps in the morning or after prolonged periods of rest.
